Camp Stephens
Camp Stephens was
named for the Vice President of the Confederacy Alexander H.
Stephens. Almost all troops for the Confederate Army from
Georgia trained there and at the Cavalry Camp Milner (located at
Griffin City Park). The site still has many trenches and
breastworks which the soldiers used for training.
