Volunteer Park was built in the late 1980's and was named after the Volunteer Coaches Association which helped build the park. Members of this volunteer organization raised the funds needed to purchase the property and materials to build the park and provided much of the labor. The parking lot and football fields were added from funds from the 1996 SPLOST.

This park features a 4 field youth softball complex with concessions and restrooms and well as 2 football fields with concession.
